Our Committees

Professional Learning

The Professional Learning Committee is dedicated to providing high-quality training opportunities for school social workers, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to support students effectively. Each year, the committee organizes four professional learning sessions and an annual conference, all focused on mental health in the school setting. Their work includes recruiting expert presenters, coordinating trainings, and collaborating with NASW to offer CEUs for licensure. As conference planning ramps up, the committee’s efforts increase to ensure a meaningful and impactful event for USSWA members. Through their dedication, school social workers across the state gain valuable insights, strategies, and resources to enhance their practice. ______ Amber Woodward - Chair, Granite School District Alisha Martinez - Co-Chair, Jordan School District
